We slept some, but jet lag bothered us both. Never-the-less we were ready to go and at 6:30 AM, we met our PH at the dining area and all had juice and cereal for breakfast. Then off for the morning's hunt - we were looking for kudu!

After sighting a lot of animals and chasing around and up and down some pretty heavily brushed hills, we finally spotted a kudu that we managed to get a shot at. Steve got first shot from maybe 125 yards, but the sun was just at the wrong angle and made a big glare in the scope. He missed, went just under the kudu.

We saw a lot more animals, but decided to go for blesbuck that afternoon following lunch.
We spotted a nice blesbuck, and I got the 270 for my first attempt. Unfortunately, I managed to get some cactus stuck in my legs and could not keep up. Had to stop and remove the cactus. So... Steve got the weapon and he took the animal down. It turned out to be a Gold Medal rated specimen and everyone was happy. Back to camp where the tracker skinned Steve's kill.
